This is a Ted Dowell (1929-2012) Funny Folder. This folder is about 7.5 inches when open and about 4.5 inches when closed. This knife was made around 1985, it will open either way. The TD logo is on the pin, I think the blade is made of 440C stainless steel, but I’m not sure. The handles are made of Micarta.
Hello. Your knife is one of Ted's type 1 Funny Folders he made from 1973-78 at which point he redesigned the bail with a "stop" (type 2) so that the scales would swing only one way. The steel in your knife is either 440C or D2. Later knives he offered more steel and handle color choices. Regards.
